Technology Is Sometimes A Bane, Sometimes A Boon

I feel sure you can related to this. I know you have probably — at one time or another — been tempted to toss your monitor across the room, or even better, through a plate glass window. If you ever given in to this urge, I understand you.

Because of the little techie things that were bothering me about this blog (it’s a Virgo thing I am sure), I had decided to move it to another hosting plan (notice I said plan, not company). This new plan would allow me to have “pretty links” and “SEO friendly” page names, something any blogger online for more than a month knows and wants. There were some other considerations, but when you boil away all the crap, it was really about those two things.

I planned my move. I carefully read about backing up my MySQL database.

And then, my hosting company announced a move of their own. From Kentucky to Ohio. Well, their move was a bit more than my move, so I decided to wait until it was over. That move finished this weekend, so look for me to try moving this blog over the next few days.
